Not much has changed over the last few years when it comes to expanding our wardrobes. Most of us still face the high street, battle through hundreds of people and end up on the sofa after an exhausting shopping spree.
But this is all about to change as the future of shopping has arrived. A new installation that has been making its way around German train stations may just change all of our lives forever. It allows users to try on shoes virtually. Far out? Maybe, but it creates an augmented reality version of you which appears on a screen, allowing you to try on shoes on the go. All of it is powered by Microsoft Kinect.
You can try on as many pairs as you like and once you decide on the ones you like best, a QR code appears which will allow you to purchase your shoes instantly. If you are in doubt, you can also share your choices on Facebook and see what your friends think.
